Walkie Tonky

Friday, January 16th, 2009

While we’re working hard at keeping up with all things concerning Puzzlegeddon, we’re also looking into new game ideas. One of the ideas we’ve been developing, Walkie Tonky, has resulted in a quite playable demo. We actually submitted this demo to the Independent Games Festival but unfortunately wasn’t nominated. Not much to sulk over considering the tough competition this year. A big congratulations to all finalists! Anyway, we now offer the Walkie Tonky demo for download and hope you will enjoy it.

Walkie Tonky is a physics-based action game which puts you in the shoes of a giant robot invading Earth. Smash and kick your way forward using the robot’s every limb to cause mayhem and clear the road ahead. All is experienced with a presentation that binds visuals and audio together, and an engaging control scheme.

You can download the demo and find more information at: www.piecesinteractive.se/walkietonky.

Puzzlegeddon – More critical reception

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009

A couple of new reviews have come to our attention!

Games Radar gives it a 8/10 with this warning conclusion: “The whole game is cracking fun, especially if you play against your mates with the six-man multiplayer, but the price you pay is constant vigilance. The pace is absolutely relentless, the enemy AI is sharp and if you’re not addicted to this after an hour then your brain is broken. Burn your to-do lists, sell your television, teach your cat how to work the can-opener. Puzzlegeddon is here, and it’s going to make you its slave.”

Furthermore, Village Gamer posted another review that held a similar message: “Overall, I was very impressed with the game play. If you want to know how addicting this game can be, listen to this. I opened this game for the first time and started playing. I’m playing for about an hour and soon decided to shut the game off and get some other work done. To my surprise, I actually played 4 hours. Time flew by that day!”

All you had to do was to find the page and send us a mail and you could be one of the lucky ones receiving a boxed copy of Puzzlegeddon. Now it’s time to announce the first round of winners who will receive (if they haven’t already) their prize in the coming couple of days!
